Why this actually matters to us
BuboSoma exists because a previous platform raised its price and made it expensive to leave. That's not an abstract complaint, it's the whole reason this company was built. So when we design something as basic as a trial, we ask a simple question first: would this do to a customer what was done to us?
A trial that quietly charges your card on day 8 because you forgot to cancel passes that test technically, you agreed to it, it's in the terms. But it fails it in every way that actually matters. It's the same move, just smaller and earlier in the relationship.
What happens instead

Love it? Choose a plan and get billed from that point forward. Not sure yet, or need more time? Nothing happens. No charge, no card to cancel.
At the end of day 14, your account moves to read-only mode. You can view and export records, but booking, calendar changes, payments, messages, staff actions, and active practice-management features are disabled until you choose a plan.
Your data isn't deleted or held hostage while paused. You can view and export your data for 90 days after the trial ends. After that, data may be deleted or de-identified, subject to applicable retention requirements.
Who this is really for
Most of the people running a massage practice aren't tracking a trial-expiration date in a calendar app. You're between clients, catching up on notes, or just trying to get through the day. A billing model that depends on you remembering to cancel by a specific date is a model built for someone else's business, not yours.

The honest trade-off
We know the industry-standard version of this, card required, auto-converts unless canceled, generally converts more trials into paying customers. That's not a secret, and it's not wrong for every company. It's just not us.
